Two ways to delete your NetWorth+ account and its data. Inside the app is fastest. If you cannot sign in, or you have already uninstalled the app, use the request form below; you do not need to reinstall anything.
In the app
Profile → Delete Account → confirm.
Immediate. 7-day grace period to change your mind.
Deleting from inside the app
This is the fastest route and needs nothing from us.
- Open NetWorth+.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm.
Deletion is then scheduled with a 7-day grace period. During those seven days you can cancel simply by signing back in. If you do not cancel, a scheduled server process permanently deletes your account and its data at the end of the period.
The grace period exists so that a mistaken tap is recoverable. Once it has elapsed, deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed; we will not be able to restore your records.
Requesting deletion on the web
Use this if you have uninstalled the app, cannot sign in, or would simply rather not use the app to do it. You do not need to reinstall NetWorth+.
Option 1: the request form. Submit the NetWorth+ account deletion request form. You will be asked for the email address on your account so we can identify it.
Option 2: email. Write to support@networthplus.in from the email address on your account, asking us to delete it. Sending from the account address is what lets us verify the request is yours.
Either route is actioned within 30 days.
What is deleted
Everything that makes up your account:
- Your profile and display name
- Your accounts, balances and account links
- All transactions, including anything imported or approved from a bank message
- Budgets, goals, loans, liabilities and categories
- Contacts, groups, shared balances and settlements
- Your authentication record
Receipt images are held in the app's private storage on your own phone rather than on our servers, and are removed when you uninstall the app.
What may be retained, and why
Three things may survive, and it is worth being straightforward about each.
- Shared entries another person also participates in. If you split a bill with someone, that record is theirs as well as yours. It may remain visible in their copy, because deleting it would remove something from a person who has not asked to have it deleted.
- Anonymous, aggregated crash and usage statistics. These cannot be traced back to you and are therefore no longer personal data.
- Records the law requires us to keep. Where that applies, we retain only what is required and only for as long as it is required.
Before you delete: export your data
Deletion is permanent once the grace period ends, so if there is anything you want to keep, export it first. You can export your ledger from inside the app and send it wherever you like using Android's own share sheet.
You also have the right to obtain a copy of your personal data in a portable form; see Privacy Policy §12.
Other things you can do instead
If deleting everything is more than you need:
- Turn off SMS reading without touching anything else: revoke the permission in Android Settings, or switch off automatic scanning in the app. Nothing already saved is affected.
- Withdraw a shared account from someone you shared it with, at any time.
- Turn off notifications by category.
- Correct or export your data rather than removing it.
Full detail on all of these is in the Privacy Policy.
